Bulgarian PV equipment supplier AmonRa Energy has bought Romanian partner company D&B South Trade. The company has been renamed AmonRa Energy Romania. The Romanian company had a turnover of 44 million lei between January and October this year.
“Having worked with the Romanian company for several years, we identified its acquisition as a good opportunity to expand into this key Balkan market, given its size, without having to create the company structure ourselves,” explained founder and CEO Dimitar Beleliev.
AmonRa Energy Romania currently operates from rented offices and a warehouse in Bucharest. In the first nine months of 2023, AmonRa Energy generated a net profit of about RON 1 million on revenues of about RON 50 million. “This year, the price of solar panels has dropped by about 2.5 times compared to 2022. Lower prices led to higher volumes of PV equipment sold, but our turnover remained at about the same level as last year,” Beleliev explained.
