Apsys preparing two retail investments for Poland

9 April 2015

Apsys is planning to develop two new retail projects in Poland, including a large-scale investment in Warsaw, due to break ground in 2017. The second scheme will likely go up in Kraków, as the company is already in talks to secure the land for the 80,000 sqm project.

In the meantime, Apsys is focusing on the Posnania shopping center, currently underway Poznań. The company hopes to increase the mall’s pre-lease level by 10 percent this year, up from the current 80 percent. The investor expects to have the entire project commercialized before it goes on-line in the fourth quarter of 2016. Worth PLN 1.2bn, the scheme will offer 100,000 sqm of retail space in 300 units.

In an effort expedite the leasing process, Apsys has just introduced a virtual reality visualization of the project, called Oculus Rift. This is the first time the technology has been used for commercial property purposes.
