Art Box Gallery plans to open the first fully multimedia gallery in Poland, in the Norblin Factory next year, the company said. The company wants to obtain funding from community investors for part of the project – the campaign planned for September will be supported by Crowdway. Art Box Gallery’s investments so far have amounted to over PLN 3 million.
Art Box Experience will be the first fully digital cultural and entertainment space in Poland and the region of Central and Eastern Europe. The space is based on a proprietary design of system solutions that make it possible to create the impression of a mobile, living multimedia space in a physical location. The first exhibitions will start in the first quarter of 2022, it was announced.
“The project will offer guests a unique experience through the combination of modern animation techniques presented in 360 rooms, built of modern projection screens and enriched with a soundtrack. Using the world’s first automated lifting screen system, we can fully reconfigure the Art Box Experience space,” said the founder of Art Box Gallery Piotr Sikora.
In July 2020, the company concluded a 10-year lease agreement for 800 sqm of space with Fabryka Norblin. The landlord also decided to allocate over PLN 2.2 million net for adaptation works in the exhibition space, so that the team could focus on content development and operational preparation. The landlord belongs to the Capital Park Group listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which manages a real estate portfolio with a total area of 213,000 sqm and market value of PLN 1.8 billion.
“Implementation works are already at an advanced stage. The total value of investments related to the company’s operations has so far amounted to approximately PLN 3 million, including PLN 2.2 million for space adaptation and PLN 800 thousand for design works, multimedia equipment and the creation of part of the content We have a plan of functioning in the sanitary regime, necessary nowadays, which will allow us to make the space available also in the event of a possible restoration of restrictions,” added the president of ArtBox Gallery, Joanna Kowalkowska.
The Management Board of Art Box Gallery announced a crowdfunding issue. It will start in September this year. and will be promoted by the crowdinvesting Crowdway platform. The funds obtained as part of the campaign are planned to be used by the company to carry out tasks related to the launch and promotion of the Art Box Experience space. Detailed goals will be made available just before the start of the broadcast.
