The City of Jacksonville has approved plans for a new shopping project by the developer Ashco in Jacksonville Beach. The new scheme will be a 11,000 sqf retail center on an out parcel of the company’s Beach Plaza property at 1198 Beach Blvd., which includes parking for 800 vehicles. According to a company spokesperson the shopping plaza is approximately 60 percent pre-leased, mostly to restaurants. Ashco has owned the out parcel for 24 years, and has had the site plans for the project for the last 20 years.
