Having recently offloaded its Czech retail portfolio, Atrium Real Estate is shifting its focus on the Polish market. Scott Dwyer, CEO for the company’s Polish operations, said this week the country is now representing as much as 55 percent of Atrium’s portfolio. Worth €1.5bn, 24 projects brought in €100m in rental income last year, as a result of the company’s strategy to double its portfolio on the Polish market, which took it five years to achieve.
Dwyer said that a part of this long-term plan for Poland involves the expansion of the Promenada shopping mall in Warsaw to 85,000 sqm of space over five years. Having delivered an additional 6,000 sqm of space to the mall this week, the company confirmed it’s already in the process of collecting land to further expand the project.
