Atrium sells Futurum in Brno to Opifer

5 March 2018

The Futurum shopping center in Brno has been sold to Opifer, a company better known for its investments in biotechnology and IT start-ups. The E15 servers reports on the deal between the real estate newcomer and Atrium European Real Estate, which sold the asset. It quotes Opifer’s co-owner Lukáš Foral as saying “We’ve concentrated on risky investments over the long-term. The acquisition of Futurum belongs to this sector. By investing in real estate we aim to diversify our portfolio and achieve above-average yields even in the real estate project sector which is substantially less risky than those we invest in.” Futurum, a relatively poorly performing, 35,000 sqm shopping center, was completed in 2001.
