Auchan opened a new hypermarket in Bucharest’s Drumul Taberei district this week. Auchan Drumul Taberei covers a total area of 20,000 sqm. In addition to the 10,500 sqm hypermarket, the center includes a 9,500 sqm shopping gallery for up to 120 stores as well as offices for Immochan, Auchan’s real estate division. The French retailer invested €70m in the project. This is the company’s seventh hypermarket in Bucharest. It has 32 locations in its Romanian network.
