The French supermarket chain Auchan is poised to sign a contract this week for the acquisition of 95 Real hypermarkets in Romania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
The German company Metro Group decided to offload its Real stores located outside its home market because of disappointing sales and losses posted in other countries.
Auchan will reportedly pay between €90m and €100m for Real Romania, which includes 24 stores in its regional network, according to Ziarul Financiar.
