The Bal Harbour Shops, owned by Whitman Family Development, has acquired the non-profit Church by the Sea in a $30 million transaction. Selling for $1,111 per square foot, the 27,000 square-foot site is located on 96th Street in Bal Harbour, FL. The shopping center purchased the land to make its planned $400 million expansion possible, a project that will see it grow by 366,876 square feet and add 1,086 parking spaces. It’s expected that the church will use the sales proceeds to purchase a new sanctuary.
