Billa to open at least ten stores per year

The Billa supermarket chain, part of Rewe Group, will end this year with a network of 71 stores and will continue to expand in coming years, with at least 10 stores per year, company officials said. It means that by the end of next year the number of stores will exceed 80 Billa stores.

This means that turnover should be increasing by the en of of 2012, said Sorana Georgia, general manager of the local market retailer. In 2011, Billa finished the year with turnover of €266m, down 2 percent compared with 2010.
