Bosnia’s consumer prices rose by 1.7% YOY in May

Consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 1.7 percent year-on-year in May, after increasing by 0.9 percent in April, according to the statistical office. On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices in Bosnia remained unchanged in May, after edging down 0.3 percent in April.

Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.5 percent, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose by 1.9 percent, whereas prices of housing, water, electricity, natural gas and other fuels added 1.2 percent. Transport prices rose by 10.2 percent, clothing and footwear prices decreased by 8.3 percent and prices of furnishing and household equipment declined by 0.3 percent on an annual comparison basis in May.
