Bricostore leaving Hungarian market

20 November 2012

The French hypermarket chain Bricostore plans to leave the Hungarian market by the end of the year. The retailer, active on the regional market since 1997, has nine stores in Hungary. The company said there is currently less demand on the Hungarian market, and it has decided to focus its expansion efforts elsewhere. The closure will affect more than 600 workers. Hungarian MPF Holding Zrt will reportedly take over the Bricostore stores, but this news has yet to be confirmed.
