Metro Bank has opened a 5,300 sq ft retail unit at the Nugent Shopping Park in Orpington. The retail park is owned by British Land, which was represented by Wilkinson Williams in signing the 25-year lease. Edward Cree, Senior Asset Manager for British Land, said: “Metro Bank is an excellent addition to Nugent Shopping Park’s mix and will be a welcome community amenity.” Nugent Shoppin Park offers 115,000 sq ft of retail space divided into 22 units, with other retailers including Debenhams, M&S, Next, Clarks, Hobbycraft, Waterstones, Nando’s and Costa. Along with adding new locations to its network, Metro Bank recent announced it would be reducing rates on some of its mortgages, with rates for 2 year fixed loan now set at 2.29 percent.
