Carrefour is a new tenant of over 7,000 sqm in Aleja Bielany, Bielany Wrocławskie

24 February 2022

Carrefour has joined the group of tenants of Aleja Bielany. The French chain, operating in Poland for 25 years and having over 900 stores – from hypermarkets to convenience stores, has signed a contract with a Wrocław meeting place for the lease of over 7,000 sqm of retail space. The opening of a shop popular among Polish customers with a sales room in a modern format will take place at the turn of the third and fourth quarter of this year.

Aleja Bielany managed by Ingka Centers is one of the largest shopping centers on the Polish market. Thanks to the opening of a new French brand hypermarket this year, Wrocław customers will gain access to a number of unique on a national scale commercial concepts and modern solutions facilitating shopping, as well as a wide range of food, industrial products and services. Carrefour will thus become one of the largest stores in Aleja Bielany’s offer and the largest grocery store after the withdrawal of the British chain Tesco from Poland.

Throughout the year, consumers from Wrocław will also be able to use Carrefour’s wide selection of seasonal products, textiles, home furnishings, DIY and automotive products. The network will provide customers not only with the highest quality of service and convenience, but also a number of amenities, such as self-service checkouts, Scan & Go services in the My Carrefour application, thanks to which there is no need to stand in a queue and place purchases on the cash register, and Click & Collect, i.e. orders placed online and efficiently collected in the store.

Out of concern for the needs of local residents and visitors to Aleja Bielany, the partners decided to create a temporary Carrefour store for the duration of the reconstruction of the facility, which will provide customers with the opportunity to do basic everyday purchases – food products, cosmetics and household chemicals.
Aleja Bielany is a modern and spacious meeting place managed by Ingka Centers with the largest IKEA store in Poland, which provides a wide selection of goods and services from various categories. In addition to shopping and shopping, visitors can also take advantage of the diverse offer of meetings in cafes and restaurants or relaxing in the cinema.
