Carrefour Romania opened two more stores under the Carrefour Express brand in Bucharest’s Obor and Drumul Taberei neighborhoods. The French retailer also plans to open a new hypermarket in the capital in the third quarter of this year.
The new hypermarket will be located on the grounds of a future shopping center New Europe Property Investments (NEPI) is developing on the former Vulcan industrial site and will have a sales area of 9,700 sqm.
Carrefour currently has a network of 118 stores in Romania, including 24 hypermarkets, 65 supermarkets and 19 express stores.
