Carrefour Romania has taken over Billa Romania and Billa Invest Construct. Negotiations on the deal, whose value has not been disclosed, began a year ago. Carrefour Romania worked with the law firm Tuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii while Billa Romania was represented by the law firm Schoenherr.
Billa Romania currently operates 86 stores in Romania with a total sales area of 83,000 sqm. Billa Invest Construct owns the plots that Billa supermarkets are built on.
