CBRE Global Investors acquires Campus Square in Brno

17 March 2015

CBRE Global Investors acquired Campus Square in Brno from the developer AIG/Lincoln. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Opened in November 2008, Campus Square, anchored by a Tesco store, offers 21,800 sqm of retail space to 55 tenants. “This transaction demonstrates the growing investor appetite for modern, well-performing regional retail product in the Czech Republic. We expect this to be the first of a number of similar transactions in 2015,” said Jeff Alson, head of capital markets at CBRE Czech Republic, which advised the buyer. Campus Square is part of the larger development, surrounded by the newly built Masaryk University Campus Bohunice, the University Hospital Brno and Campus Office Park. The park has good access from the D1 highway and the city’s newly opened northbound arterial tunnel.
