CCC to accelerate European expansion

CCC is planning an extensive European expansion. The Polish shoe brand, which also operates in the Czech Republic, intends to compete with Europe’s strongest shoe retailers. The chain has opened 700 stores across Europe over the last 13 years and is now planning to launch an additional 500 outlets over the next three years. The CEO of CCC’s Czech branch, Roman Puchala, told Hospodářské noviny that in the Czech Republic, CCC has 78 stores and plans to add another 10 by the end of 2016, most of which will be larger units between 500 and 700 sqm. The Polish owner of the brand, Dariusz Milek, says that CCC has become the top shoe retailer on the Polish market. He named Deichman as his primary competitor, as it operates 3,500 stores. The value of the CCC increased 25 percent y-o-y in 2014 to PLN 3.86bn.
