Romanian Television reported that the ceiling along a corridor in Galleria Arad collapsed over the weekend, according to the online server realitatea.net.
No one was hurt in the incident, but some shops were damaged. The television station quoted the State Construction Inspector for Arad, which is investigating the incident, as saying that the damage happened along a 50 meter section of corridor.
The 35,000 sqm shopping mall was opened in late 2011, after an investment of about €70m.
