Church Land Development opens Korona Kielce

18 May 2012

The competition is increasing in Kielce for existing shopping center there, after Church Land Development celebrated the completion of its most recent project in the middle of May. The grand opening of the newly-delivered Korona Kielce shopping mall was held on May 16 in the center of town on Warszawska Street. The
ceremony followed 21 months of work that’s been carried out 250 meters from Kielecki Rynek, the city’s main promenade.

“We had been looking for the right location. We think the city of Kielce and its citizens deserved a new generation facility, as it stands out on the map of Poland with its high potential for growth,” says Dariusz Miłek, the main investor of the Korona Kielce mall.

Pre-development polling found that 66 percent of the respondents approved of the idea of adding new retail and entertainment facilities to the center of town. City hall authorities also backed the project on the assurance that it would produce new jobs, a not just during the construction phase. The new 93,000 sqm project represents an investment of €100m.
