Galeria Katowicka by Neinver Polska has been nominated for Best Retail Development at this years CIJ Award Poland to be held on 30th October 2013 at the Westin Hotel in Warsaw.
Galeria Katowicka is part of a major regeneration project in downtown Katowice including: a new station hall, the emergence of an underground bus station, a new Szewczyka Square and an underground car park. The regeneration covers a four storey three-hectare plot plus an additional three underground floors.As for transportation infrastructure and connections, Galeria Katowicka is one of the top commercial centres in the country. The large-scale investment and redevelopment of the street system in the city centre allow the customers of the mall to arrive by nearly all means of transport: regional, domestic and international trains, city buses, trams, cars and bicycles.
This award is intended to honor the best retail development to have been completed between 1 November 2012 and 30 September 2013 in Poland. Schemes will be judged upon a variety of criteria, including sophistication of development, commercial success, quality of tenants, road and/or alternative access routes, location and attention to environmental sustainability.
