City Arena Trnava opened on Saturday. The mixed-used project, developed by Euro Max Slovakia, includes an 108-unit shopping center and a football stadium with a capacity for 19,000 spectators. The mall, located in the newly established pedestrian zone along Dolné bašty street, offers 29,500 sqm of retail space, of which 4,700 is dedicated to restaurants. The space is fully leased, according to the mall’s director, Norbert Kuklovský. Of the 108 units, five opened on Sunday and an additional 16 are expected to open in early October. A multiplex cinema is scheduled to open on Sept. 15. The mall is anchored by a Billa supermarket. Other tenants include H&M, Lindex, Mohito, New Yorker, Orsay, Replay-Diesel, and Reserved. Project costs totaled €80m, of which €30m went towards the stadium. The state contributed €13m.
