The City Grill Group has invested EUR 13 million in the modernisation of the Hanu’ Berarilor restaurant and the refurbishment of the La Boheme Hotel.
The City Grill Group leased the building where the Casa Bucur restaurant was operating in 2008 and transformed the location into Hanu’ Berarilor. Restoration and renovation work began in 2015. The old building was consolidated, the partitioning for the hotel space was carried out and the interior details were restored and brought as close as possible to their original form.
“The budget was 3 times higher than we estimated. During the works, numerous additional requirements arose which increased the cost. The old building, a historical monument, was the most difficult and expensive part of the investment, but a major challenge was also the pandemic and lockdown of the site. The plans were totally messed up, both in terms of cost and completion time,” says Daniel Mischie, CEO of City Grill Group.
