Cora Romania, part of the Franco-Belgian Louis Delhaize group, announced it will open two new stores this November in Bacau and Bucharest. The company also said it will open another hypermarket in Constanta in April 2013 and one in Slobozia during the second half of the year.
But Cora expansion in Romania will not stop there. The company plans to open 20 more stores over the following several years, said Thierry Destailleur, chief operating officer at Cora Romania. The company currently operates eight hypermarkets in Romania. In 2011, Cora reported a turnover of €325.8m.
