CPI Group has further expanded its retail portfolio with the acquisition of nine supermarkets from TREI Real Estate Czech Republic in a transaction worth CZK 370m. The supermarkets are leased to Penny Market and Billa for over 10 years. The properties are scattered around the Czech Republic, located in the cities such as Říčany, Dobříš, Holešov, Holice, Jablonec nad Nisou, Liberec, Tanvald, Trutnov and Semily. The total leasable area is 10,900 sqm.
Colliers International brokered the transaction on behalf of the seller. Kinstellar legally supported CPI Group, while CMS Cameron McKenna worked for TREI. “TREI has successfully capitalized on the value of their portfolio of standing assets in order to invest in their pipeline of VENDO PARK developments in the Czech Republic and Slovakia,” said Björn Fraeb, Head of Portfolio Management & Business Development at TREI Real Estate GmbH.
