CPI buys Futurum from Meyer Bergman

10 April 2018

Meyer Bergman European Retai Partners II has sold Futurum, a 39,000 sqm shopping center in Hradec Králové, to CPI Property Group. Meyer Bergman acquired the asset in 2014 and has been making improvements to it in the meantime, including a change of the car park layout, updating the mall’s entrance and common areas and creating a créche and adding new retaurants. Leases with over 30 existing tenants were also renewed, while others, such as Douglas, Gant and Starbucks were added. “We took a solidly performing centre and made it more relevant for today’s shoppers,” Markus Meijer, CEO of Meyer Bergman. “Improving the visitor experience and broadening the centre’s offer have made Futurum a place where people want to spend more time — for meeting up, entertainment as well as for shopping.” Futurum is anchored by a Tesco hypermarket and has a multiscreen cinema.
