Croatian retail sales jump 4.8 percent in December 2015

Croatian retail sales improved 4.8 percent in December compared to the same month in 2014. It marks the 17th consecutive month of growth for consumer spending, but it’s the largest increase for the last eight year, according to the national statistics office.

In November consumption grew 3.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2014. The current pace of sales growth is higher than anticipated by the country’s statisticians, who had predicted an improvement of 2.9 percent.
