Croatian proximity retailer Studenac has acquired local peer La-vor Trade, which runs 16 stores in the northern Adriatic region of Istria. The company did not disclose the value of the deal. The previous owner of La-vor Trade was businessman Igor Bodrozic.
Thanks to this acquisition, the overall number of Studenac’s employees will increase by more than 200 to some 6,500 throughout Croatia. It will also bring the overall number of Studenac’s stores to 1,250, including 109 in Istria.
This is the third acquisition by Studenac this year, following the takeovers of Spar Trgovina in August and Strahinjcica in May.
