Growing demand for farmland in the Czech Republic is pushing prices up, according to the server idnes.cz. Investors as well as farmers and cooperatives that farm on leased land currently pay between CZK 17 and 27 per sqm, according to Bioreality, whose CEO says that the price is nearing the real value of the land. The price has doubled over the last five years, writes idnes.cz, warning, however, that the boom is slowing down due to investment risks and increased interest rates imposed by the Czech National Bank.
