A McDonald’s employee in Kladno tested positive for Covid-19, leading to the immediate closing of the restaurant, and testing for all of its employees that were in contact with the infected person. Following a deep cleaning of the restaurant and consultations with hygienic officials, the store was allowed to open. But the news hit as the number of people with active coronavirus infections exceeded 5,000, more than at any other time during the outbreak. Until recently, the infection’s hotspot was concentrated in the eastern portion of the country, but there are growing signs that the situation is deteriorating. Over 200 people were confirmed to have contracted Covid-19 on Tuesday.
