The Czech sporting goods retailer Sportisimo is on the market. Considered the sector’s leader in the Czech Republic, the network is on offer for CZK 5bn, 18 times its reported operating profit (CZK 281m in 2014). Hospodářské noviny writes that a sale of this size would be the largest ever on the sporting goods sector in the country. The company was set up 15 years ago by two Vietnamese businessmen. Currently the brand operates nearly 100 outlets in the Czech Republic, and dozens of stores in Slovakia and Poland.
