A new study carried out by MasterCard has found that 60 percent of Czech prefer to have their goods rung up by a cashier, as opposed to using the self service kiosks now being offered in stores like Tesco and Ikea. The study found that 85 percent of Czech had now encountered the new check out system at some point, but only one-third of them prefer to use them. This is apparently a generational question, however, as 52 percent of people under the age of 24 prefer the kiosks, while only 20 percent of those over 55 do. The primary factors for those who prefer kiosks was quicker check-out times, shorter lines, and making sure they weren’t charged incorrectly when the bill was rung up.
