Slovak electronics e-shop Datacomp, based in Košice, has started its western expansion with the opening of its first store in Bratislava’s Patronka district. More openings across the country, including locations in Žilina, Nitra and Banská Bystrica, are set to follow over the next two years. Datacomp, which compares in popularity with the Czech electronics e-shop Alza.cz, also wants to build a new headquarters with a showroom in Košice. Datacomp operates four stores as well as a distribution center in Košice and Prešov. Launching an e-shop has more than doubled its revenues from €5.3m in 2009 to €12.4m in 2015.
