8 August 2014

The Czech founders of Datart have gained control of the electronics retail chain. The British-French Darty Group sold its 60-percent stake in the company back to the original Czech owners for CZK 140m. HP Tronic, which controls the Euronics network and is a strategic investor for Datart, will acquire a 20-percent share in the company, Pavel Bádal, the CEO of Datart, told the server idnes.cz. Darty wrote in a statement that the company wants to focus on its key businesses and considers the sale a “satisfactory” solution.
