DBK Praha buys Europark mall in Prague 10 to expand it

4 April 2019

In a deal worth €80m, DBK Praha has taken a 76 percent stake in Europark Shopping Center, the company that controls the Europark mall on the eastern edge of Prague’s inner ring road. Hospodářské noviny writes that the deal with the vendor, SES Spar European Shopping Centers, was carried out with DBK’s strategic partner Proxy finance. The owner intends an enormous expansion of the mall. “Europark is interesting because it has another 180,000 sqm of space available,” said Hana Gavendová, DBK Praha’s spokeswoman. “We can double the capacity of the center and make it even more attractive than it is today.” DBK Praha operates stores that were formerly connected with the Prior department store chain.
