Decathlon enters Prague through CČM

26 June 2012

The sport retail chain Decathlon will enter the Prague market next year by opening its first outlet in the expanded Centrum Černý Most shopping mall in Prague 9. The French chain will replace Austrian sports retailer Gigasport. Decathlon entered Czech Republic two years ago through shops in Liberec and Ostrava. In CČM it will lease 3,600 sqm, a bit less than in Liberec, where it was able to implement its full concept including an outdoor playground where customers can test the equipment they want to buy. The retailer’s plans for the Prague market call for opening a further three outlets.
