Del Webb buys land in Estero, FL for new senior community scheme

22 February 2017

Del Webb, a Pulte Home Corp. subsidiary specializing in senior housing, has picked up a 130 acre tract of land in Estero. The firm plans to build a 387-home community called Tidewater. The property is adjacent to the Germain Arena and is bounded by Interstate 75, Estero Parkway and the Miromar Outlets. Pulte acquired the development plot, which still has land entitled for a hotel and for 250,000 sqf of office and retail space from Naples-based NM Development Group. The remaining 16 acres of the scheme are being listed for sale by Fort Myers commercial real estate brokerage firm Land Solutions Inc.

“The Estero site is central to the highest-growth area in Lee County and Southwest Florida,” NM Development, Al Moscato said in a statement. “The location is optimal for the residential and commercial offerings already approved and under development on the property.”
