In one of the largest deals on the Spanish market, Deutsche Bank acquired the Diagonal Mar shopping center in Barcelona for €495m. The seller, Northwood, purchased the property from the Irish bad bank Nama for €150m in 2015. CBRE advised Northwood, while Deloitte advised Deutsche Bank. The shopping center is located in Barcelona’s 22@ district. Opened in 2001, Diagonal Mar is currently leased to 190 tenants, including Media Markt, Fnac, Primark, Zara, and H&M. The property also has 5,000 parking spaces.
