Deutsche Bank Private Equity and Goldman Sachs Asset Management have taken over Prestige 96, one of the largest Bulgarian companies in the food industry. It’s part of a deal to acquire London-based NBGI Private Equity Limited. Completion of this transaction is expected in the first half of 2016. NBGI Private Equity Limited and Citi Venture Capital International, part of Citigroup, bought their stake in Prestige 96 in 2012. TRG Management LP also owns shares in Prestige 96.
Prestige 96 was founded in 1996 in Veliko Tarnovo and specializes in the production of biscuits, waffles and mini-cakes. In 2013 the company opened a new 28,400 sqm production facility.
