The developer Redstone has obtained a final building permit for the construction of the Galerie Pernerka shopping and social centre in Pardubice. The site of the former distillery is to be used for a department store, offices, hotel, multiplex cinema or a hall for 1,000 guests, the Olomouc-based company annouced today. It did not disclose the amount of the investment.
Galerie Pernerka will be built on an area of 6,000 sqm on the site of the former Hobé distillery. The developer demolished the old buildings in 2019 and is preparing the project. “Our intention is that when completed, this place will bring a completely new quality to Pardubice. As a result, it will pulsate with life and become a popular centre for locals and tourists,” said Richard Morávek, founder of the Redstone Group.
The project was granted planning permission at the end of last year. The next step will be to select a construction company to build the complex. When completed, the centre will offer up to 50,000 square metres of space. “The content will include classic retail units for well-known brands, as well as spaces for doctors’ offices, wellness services, a jump arena, a children’s zone, restaurants and a multiplex cinema with seven screens,” said Redstone spokesman Petr Hlávka.
According to Hlávka, the complex will also include a parking lot with 1,100 spaces. The four-star hotel of the international AC Hotels by Marriott chain will offer 150 rooms and a conference centre with a ballroom, the spokesman added.
