Developers targeting mid-size cities for retail investments

24 April 2012

The saturation level of retail space in Poland is slightly above the European average with the figure of 179 sqm per capita, Puls Biznesu daily reports, and the highest number of retail space is seen in the larger cities. That’s developers are changing their focus to mid-sized cities, with populations of less than 100,000 where the level is still close to zero. Cities like Chełm, Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Stalowa Wola, Mielec, Ełk, Innowrocław and Ostrołęka still lack any new shopping malls.
