DPD Polska has announced plans to expand its parcel vending machine network, aiming to install 1,000 more SwipBox Infinity machines by the end of 2024. This will bring the total number of machines to over 9,000, all part of the company’s broader DPD Pickup network, which now includes 30,000 points across Poland. The move comes as the logistics giant responds to growing demand for fast and convenient parcel collection solutions, particularly in e-commerce.
“We are continuously adapting to evolving customer expectations. By expanding our DPD Pickup network, which includes parcel vending machines, we are addressing the modern need for quick and easy logistics solutions,” said Łukasz Zembowicz, DPD Polska’s Sales and Marketing Director. Zembowicz added that by 2025, the company expects continued growth in its network, driven by consumer needs.
SwipBox Infinity machines, known for their modular and battery-powered design, allow for easy installation in a variety of locations, including both urban and rural areas, offering 24/7 access. According to Michal Czechowski, Managing Director of SwipBox Poland, this flexibility enhances DPD’s ability to serve its customers around the clock.
DPD Polska’s efforts are part of a broader European strategy under DPDgroup, one of Europe’s largest courier networks. Currently, the DPD Pickup network spans over 110,000 locations across Europe, with drop-off and pick-up points strategically positioned in major retail chains to ensure widespread access.
SwipBox, a Danish company specializing in parcel vending solutions, has been collaborating with DPD Polska to implement this technology. Their machines operate in over 40 countries, serving multiple logistics operators in what is described as an “agnostic” network, accessible to a range of companies.
With the rapid growth of e-commerce and consumer expectations for efficient delivery, DPD Polska’s ongoing expansion reflects the importance of innovative logistics solutions in today’s market.
