Echo Investment is ready to start construction on a shopping and entertainment center called Korona in the city of Brasov, the developer’s first project on the Romanian market. Located on a 9ha plot of land, the project will be delivered in two phases, with a total of 35,000 sqm of retail space planned for the first phase, and an additional 10,000 sqm for the second one.
“The purchased land will make it possible to increase its leasable area, which will in turn contribute to a considerable improvement of the center’s attractiveness. Thanks to this, Korona will be the largest and the first modern shopping and entertainment center in Brasov,” Echo said in a statement. “The land purchase transaction coincided with the final stage of negotiations with the anchor tenant of the mall. This means in practice that Echo Investment’s first foreign project will soon enter the construction phase.”
Echo has undertaken 90 project across Poland, acting both as developer and investor, making it the country’s biggest domestic equity investor.
