Echo Investment is looking for new retail investment opportunities around the country, focusing on existing properties in Poland’s regional cities. Echo’s taking a fresh approach to investing in Polish retail, and will be focusing on buying and expanding the existing malls. Just a year ago, Echo expanded its mall in Kielce.
“After the expansion, its operations improved,” Echo’s Piotr Gromniak told the daily Puls Biznesu. “The expansion of an existing malls is far less costly than developing a new project, as no road infrastructure needs to be build, and the location don’t need to be promoted.”
Currently, Echo is working on the expansion of its shopping center in Bełchatów, delivered in 2000. Once that is completed, the company will turn to the modernizing of its malls in Jelenia Góra, Szczecin and Wrocław.
