Elektroprivreda BiH invests €83m in Podvelezje wind farm

Elektroprivreda BiH is planning to invest €83m in its first wind farm on the Podvelezje plateau above the city of Mostar in southern Bosnia. The wind farm will feature 15 turbines, a 110kV substation, access roads and platforms. The estimated annual production will be 120 GWh. Construction will divided into three phases. The first phase will include access roads. The substation and medium voltage cable distribution system will go up in the second phase, while the wind turbines will be installed in the final stage. The completion of the Podvelezje wind farm is planned for Q3 2019. KfW bank supplied a €65m loan, while remaining costs will be covered by Elektroprivreda.
