Enea is looking for acquisitions in photovoltaics and wind energy

26 May 2022

Enea will acquire acquisitions only in the area of renewable energy sources – both in photovoltaics and in wind energy, said Vice President Rafał Mucha.

“Acquisitions are only to apply to RES-related projects in two phases – where the documentation is complete and installations operating both in photovoltaics and in wind,” said Mucha during the press conference.

Earlier, he informed that the amount marked in Enea’s capital expenditure plan for 2022 as “other” will be largely allocated to acquisitions.

Enea announced in March that it was planning PLN 3,201.1 million of capital expenditure in 2022 compared to PLN 1,980.4 million realized in 2021. The expenditure planned for 2022 in the upstream segment is to amount to PLN 679 million, 612 in production, PLN 7 million, PLN 1,264.4 million in distribution and PLN 645 million in other areas, as stated in the annual report.

The basis for the operation of the Enea capital group is the mining of hard coal as well as the production, distribution and trade of electricity. The group’s distribution network, located in western and south-western Poland, covers 20% of the country’s territory. The company has been listed on the WSE since 2008.
