Epic Real Estate Partners acquired the Alafaya Square shopping center in Oviedo. The price of the deal was not disclosed. The 175,977-square-foot, Publix-anchored center is located at 1361 Alafaya Trail, about 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. HFF arranged the sale of the property on behalf of the seller, a partnership between Weingarten Realty Investors and an institutional partner.
“Alafaya Square is located in one of the faster-growing suburban communities in Orlando, driven by the tremendous growth of the University of Central Florida,” said Brad Peterson, HFF’s senior managing director. “The property is the largest shopping center in the area and draws a large customer base because of its great mix of grocery, fitness, dining and service-based tenants.
