The Polish developer Echo Investment has gotten the go-ahead from the Hungarian Ministry of National Economy to build its new center despite a new in the country, outlawing new retail construction. Mundo District Center’s planned to be built in Zugló. The investor needed to demonstrate the investment’s (positive) environmental impact to the subordinate committee of the Ministry. The Minister justified the allowance by saying that the project fits the requirements of a sustainable and environmentally friendly development and that there is a large demand for the center’s implementation. Echo Investment entered the Hungarian real estate market in 2006. Mundo would offer 37,300 sqm to rent, providing place for 170 stores. It will also have 1,450 parking places. The project is planned to be carried out by Bánáti & Hartvig Architecture Company and is expected to be ready in 2015.
