The next phase of expansion at AFI Palace Cotroceni has begun, in which work will concentrate around the Galaxy entrance and is expected to bring in new brands and the expansion of existing stores. The Polish brand Reserved, for example, will increase the space it leases to 2,000 sqm, while MOHITO (like Reserved part of the LPP Fashion group) will open a store, as will the teen fashion label Sinsay.
Starbucks will also be re-opening an enlarged coffee shop that will feature a winter and a summer terrace as part of its new concept. “AFI Palace Cotroceni continues its successful story and comes with new proposals regarding brands and leisure time options…We are continuously reinventing ourselves, in order to exceed our visitors’ expectations and to maintain the leading position in Romania,” says Israel Vizel, Mall Manager at AFI Palace Malls Division.
The present expansion will increase the mall’s leasable area to 82,000 sqm, but a subsequent 8,000 sqm addition is already being considered.
