Florida Power & Light bought a 400-acre parcel of raw land from Minto Communities for $10m. The utility company is planning to build a solar farm on the land, which is located on the western edge of Palm Beach County. If approved by the county, the solar farm would be capable of producing 74.5 MW of electricity, enough to power about 15,000 homes. Minto Communities sold the land which is next to its Westlake project, a 4,500 home master-planned community.
